Mother's Day Breakfast 2019
Term 2 is shaping up to be a busy one for the Parents Club with lots opportunities to come together as a community and lend a hand. A calendar of events will be emailed through the Class Reps using the friendship lists - if you haven’t received please ask your Rep.
Here are some of the big events in the works for Term 2:
• Fruit cutting is on every Monday after school drop off, and helpers and littles are always welcome. This means that kids from Prep to Grade 2 are supplied with fresh fruit. This program is supported by Parent’s Club funds. A calendar is available to pop your name on the Noticeboard in the Office.
• The Federal Election is on Saturday 18 May, and NLPS is a polling station. This means the Parent’s Club will be selling bacon and egg rolls and democracy sausages all day. Plus there will be a Cake Stall. Thanks to all those who have already signed up to volunteer on the day. We are still looking for a few volunteers to help out on both stalls, and most importantly need some help with set-up from 7am and clean up from 4.30pm. To register to volunteer visit www.schoolinterviews.com.au enter the code rbqw6 .
If you can provide baked goods for the Cake Stall please email firstname.lastname@example.org or drop off to the school on Sat-urday between 8am - 12pm.
Finally a BIG thanks to Alex Kralveski for leading this event.
• Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an annual fundraiser for the Cancer Council and will be held on Thursday May 23rd. Tea cup biscuits will be available in each class for a gold coin donation.
All tea cup baking spots have now been filled, but you are still able to bake yummy bits and bobs for the teachers morning tea. Please email
email@example.com if you would like to help. Thanks to Hannah Bald and Erin Stubbs for organising.
A big shout out to Adele and her team for the fabulous efforts at the Mother’s Day breakfast last week!
Our next Parent’s Club Meeting is scheduled for:
• Thursday 13 June 7:30pm at the Junction Hotel.
We hope to see you at the next Parents Club meeting, and also at the many events planned for Term 2.
